Day 12, Level 2

So today, I did my first Level 2 workout. (Yes, I was naughty again and skipped last night.) It kicked my butt! What is with all those plank variations? A minute of abs...my foot!
Anyway, I sweat like a "fat man in a Santa costume in Texas in July!" I was dizzy, and for a brief minute during the second set, I thought I saw stars!
I think I'm going to go take a shower ('cuz when you can smell yourself, you know it's bad!), while the baby is sleeping!

Well.. I second Sarahviz. I, too, had to sit through wet, cold football practice. I also went straight down into the basement to Shred. As usual, Hubby joined me. The muscle soreness seems to be moving gradually down my lower body.. inch by inch. Today my hamstrings feel better but my knees and ankles and arches (still) kill. However, I agree that Level 2 seems better (for me.)
Though I still can't manage the jumping jacks, I like the plank jacks so I have been substituting that. I also LOVE the last Plank exercise for the abs. Call me crazy.
Tomorrow I have football (early) then a birthday party for my nephew and I won't be home until LATE. I may not get to Shred tomorrow but I WILL be playing in our bouncy house all day so maybe an hour of jumping around in there and chasing kids around can make up for missing it! We shall see how guilty I feel...

After sitting through my son's rainy and cold football practice this morning, my motivation level was slim-to- none.  I knew if I went home to the Trenches and changed into warm, comfy clothes that I wouldn't have the self-discipline to Shred later today.
So went right down to the basement and Shredded.
Granted, there were distractions (which is why during the week I choose to Shred at the ass crack of dawn WHEN NO BOYZ ARE AWAKE).  Middle needed help on the computer.  Baby was crying.  But I ignored them trudged on, huffing and puffing and repeating under my breath, "20 minutes.  I only need 20 minutes dammit."
I feel good today.  Now bring on the comfy clothes and the couch!

YAY!!! I finally Shredded!
My Shred DVD finally arrived yesterday, but as I ordered it from the American Amazon site, I totally forgot that it wouldn’t play on my European Region 2 DVD player. Doh!
So, after a few hours of tinkering on the internet, trying to change my DVD player to multi-region, and then finally giving up because I needed the remote control which has long since been lost, I managed to download some software and watch my American DVD on my very English laptop. Phew.
Never have I been so motivated to do something but had so many obstacles thrown in my way!!
Anywho, I’m now officially Shredding. Just completed my first day of Level 1 and maaaaan…. It felt gooooood to get moving again as I haven’t exercised at all for a little while. Well, even professional athletes take regular training breaks ya know!
Think I’ll try Level 2 tomorrow...
I’m being all cocky and confident at the moment as I’ve just completed my first work out. I doubt I will be being quite so upbeat about it all in a weeks time when I can barely walk!
So anyway, it feels good to be here finally! 12 days late but hey....

I was definitely sore today, but I do have to say that I enjoy the Level 2 workout. I find it a bit less repetitive and monotonous as Level 1 - so yay!
On the other hand... I have one very serious issue.:  Do you see Jillian's boobs when she's doing the double jump rope? Holy unsupportive sports bra! I think for the remainder of Level 2 I'm going to have to avert my eyes during that exercise. Ouch.
Keep with it Shredders... you are all motivating me so much!
