Ok, so you know how I was being all cocky after my first Shred workout the other day? And saying that I was gonna go straight to Level 2… hmmm...I hurt so much on the second day that I barely made it through and Day 3 was even worse!!! OWWWWWWWWWW!!! You guys weren’t kidding when you said that it hurts. The thing is, I actually find Level 1 relatively easy in terms of exertion levels but it’s the next day that’s the killer!!! Today is my 4th day (I’ve only just started due to my DVD not arriving on time) and actually I don’t feel so achy or painful today which is great. Maybe today is the day to move up to Level 2. Yes, I think I will. Level 2 - Bring it on!!!

I will not do the double jump rope. I refuse. Seeing Jillian's boobs react to gravity has just taken all of the fun out of that move.
I am still struggling through Level 2 - although I'm not sure if it's a physical struggle or a mental fatigue I'm dealing with.
I love reading everyone's posts each day... keep up the good work!
And hey - we're halfway there!

Ok, I attempted to bend over and put on my sneakers this morning and the knees are definitely shot. So I cheated and (like some of you others) went sans sneakers this morning. And Oh. My. God. It felt wonderful! I seriously think I need new sneaks. This weekend.
Anyway, my arms are looking a little skinnier and that is ROCKIN' so for that I am thrilled. Still can't seem to do any of the higher impact cardio but I am proud of myself for "keepin' movin" during those parts. The jumping jacks and jumping rope kill my knees but the high knees are fine. Keep it up Shredders... we are half way there!!

After only about 5 hours of sleep last night, I felt surprisingly spry this morning.
Are Paula (my neighbor who Shreds with me each morning) and I the only ones who giggle everytime Jillian says "high knees"? Hineys. Hineys. Heh.
And we also contemplated HOW ON EARTH Natalie can lift her arms up so high during the dreaded chair sit and "v raise" on the 3rd set of cardio. My conclusion: Her weights are made of foam. Paula's conclusion: It's really a tape of her doing it once and they have it scrolling.
I'm really not sore at all these days. I'm actually starting to feel FIT. Now, if I could only stop making unhealthy choices with my eating....

Well, it has been a few days since I Shredded. I did get a run in though, so I wasn't a total couch potato! I had all intentions of Shredding last night, but I ate turkey for dinner first and it knocked me out! I fell asleep on the couch watching TV. Because of that, I made sure to get up this morning and get it in and then I'm going to run again this afternoon.
The planks are killing me in Level Two! Shoulders are definitely not my strongest area. I think I am going to just force myself to get up in the mornings from now on and get it done.

Today was hard.
To be quite honest, every day is hard. But I'm not ready to admit defeat yet. I phoned it in a bit today during the last strength circuit. I can now do the military presses with the leg raise all the way through but after that, ooohf. I feel done.
I'm glad I've come this far without stopping. Can't wait to get to Day 30 and be done!

So glad we're half way done! I sweat more than is humanly possible! Ew.

I've been feeling craptastic this week. I've had a slightly sore throat, a stuffy nose and am feeling run down. I took yesterday off and I attempted Level One again today before lethargy hit me hard mid-jumping jack. Here's hoping I feel better tomorrow!

Sarah,
I too am struggling with food! I actually almost posted about this today - I'm just HUNGRY.... all of this calorie-burning makes me want to eat everything in sight!!
As for all the shoes comments... I totally get where everyone is coming from!! For some reason, shoes make it hurt. Why is that?
But I do want to caution anyone with super-high or flat (that would be me!) arches on their feet... it can be a really bad idea to workout without shoes. I had MRIs last summer and met with several ortho surgeons bc I was having such bad problems with my feet and they all mentioned that being barefoot can leave your feet unsupported and then you can damage ligaments/bones/etc because... well I dunno. But that's what they told me so I thought I'd pass it along. "We don't want any injuries.."
I am so impressed with everyone! Keep it up!!
OMG! I've been shredding for about the same time as you women! I did day 17 this morning. Keep it up!!! I feel your pain and triumph!!!
