Thankfully my neighbor Paula called early this morning so we could Shred. I doubt that I would have had the motivation to call her. That's a perfect example why working out with a partner is so beneficial. You're not just letting yourself down, you have someone else depending on you as well.
So we completed Day 19. I'm still battling a head cold, so the cardio was strenuous for me.
We decided that on Monday, when we start Level 3, that we're going to do our first workout without any hand weights. That way, we won't be as intimidated, plus we can attempt to master our form first.
The end is in sight, September Shredders!
Please feel free to offer any suggestions for our October exercise workout, because we're all becoming committed to daily exercise, right?? Right??? RIGHT!

After I spent an hour last night reviewing the consequences of a margarita and an antibiotic on an empty stomach (not pretty, I tell you, not pretty at all!), I was not going to Shred today. I painted some trim in the bathroom, watched a few of my DVR'd shows on TV, and then it hit me: I must Shred today.
I have all of you to thank for keeping me motivated. Or honest.
Today was the best workout I had in Level 2, which makes no sense at all considering how I was feeling last night. Keep it up September Shredders!!

I decided to do The Shred after football practice this morning. I was cold sitting out there watching the boys so I actually really enjoyed the first circuit because I was warming up. I am still going slow with the cardio but felt better today. Think maybe it was because I was awake for a few more hours beforehand, unlike during the week when I am up at 5 and Shredding by 5:30! I followed the 20 minute workout today with a half hour of Pilates (I LOVE Youtube!!) and I feel great. I am sure by the time bedtime rolls around tonight I will be cursing myself...but doing the extra half an hour of Pilates made my abs and muscles feel GREAT!
I am looking forward (nervously) to Level 3 Monday. I hope I can manage to get in enough cardio. Down 5 pounds and though I don't think it shows, I can certainly feel it when I get dressed every morning!!
Keep up all the good work Shredders. We are almost done!

I have to confess, I sort of fell off the exercise wagon. It was a long, stressful week...and add to it, a sick baby and processing the deer that hubby got, and I went into survival mode. Today, however, I started to get back on track...in a non-traditional way. I took Baby Boy to the mountains and went hiking. I hiked for 2 hours this afternoon (in the heat), while carrying the baby in his backpack carrier. Every so often, I'd stop, do 10 squats and use the water bottles for the arm exercises (the baby was on my back the whole time). The first few times I did this my friend I was hiking with thought I was crazy, by the end, she was joining in. Oh and by the end, we alternated the squats with walking lunges.
I am so tired and sore and wow, was that a good workout! Tomorrow, I'll be doing the Shred while the baby naps. I am determined to finish strong!

I was a big ole skipper today. We're in the midst of painting the basement and the fumes are intense. No excuse, but I was a little leery of attempting it.
I totally skipped today also. But way to go Kim for making up for it with a major hike. Two huge thumbs up!
